Well, hello friends! This is my first blog post since last spring; it has been a whirlwind of a spring and summer! I have had some stressful work obligations as well as a wedding for my daughter this summer, and it has taken me awhile to get back in the swing of things. I will be posting about the wedding in an upcoming post. In the meantime, here is a photo of the bride and groom.

It was a beautiful weekend here in southwest Montana – I am still wearing summer clothes! I’ve noticed that some bloggers have been writing Now & Later Posts – how to wear a piece of clothing in the summer, and then dress it up for fall. I decided now would be a perfect time to try this.

I started with this simple black sleeveless turtleneck dress from Target. I love turtlenecks, and this one is perfect for late summer-early fall. I accessorized it with turquoise jewelry and a pair of black wedge sandals. My exact sandals are linked here. I first saw this dress on one of my favorite blogs, Crazy Blonde Life. She has fantastic style!

For a fall look, I swapped my turquoise jewelry for a black pendant, added this grey faux suede moto jacket and some grey open toe booties. An easy change for a cute fall look. I purchased the moto jacket this summer during the Nordstrom sale. It is still available, and at a pretty good price! I know I will get alot of wear out of it this fall and winter. I imagine wearing it with white jeans, or black jeans and a black tee,
